AI SHOPPING READINESS AUDIT

AI shopping readiness starts with evidence.

Check public product data and catalog signals, then measure a defined set of shopping queries. See what the free scan establishes and what the $299 assessment adds.

What can an AI shopping readiness audit actually tell you?

When a shopper asks an assistant for a product recommendation, the answer may draw on product pages, third-party sources and other information. A storefront can make its catalog easier to interpret, but a technical check alone cannot establish that any particular assistant recommends it. Lumen keeps these questions separate.

Start with public catalog evidence

The free catalog scan inspects up to three publicly accessible product pages. It checks structured Product and Offer data, product-specific content, price and availability signals, and whether those pages are accessible for a bounded scan. It produces technical findings and a downloadable PDF. It does not run paid AI shopping queries or measure ranking.

When to measure shopping-query evidence

The $299 one-time assessment covers one storefront. For catalogs with 25 products or fewer, it analyzes every discovered product; larger catalogs receive a representative cross-category sample of 25–100 products, capped at 100. Six curated buyer-style queries record the sources and competitors actually observed at assessment time. The PDF identifies the sampled products, evidence, limitations and prioritized fixes. Results can vary across systems, prompts, location and time; no placement or revenue increase is guaranteed.

What the merchant receives

  • A named list of products actually inspected and the discovered catalog size.
  • Specific examples of missing or unclear product data and content.
  • Observed shopping-query sources and competitor appearances, with boundaries clearly labeled.
  • A prioritized implementation plan and a report that a commerce team can review.
For large catalogs: this is a representative assessment, not a promise to inspect every SKU. The 100-product maximum and the six-query scope are shown before purchase.

How to use the findings

Fix identified data and content issues in your commerce platform, then measure the same query set again. Optional $99/month monitoring provides one remeasurement per billing month, not a daily scan. Review the sample report to see how evidence and recommendations are presented.
