Start with one purchasable option

A product can have several valid prices. A sample, a blank item, an imprinted item and a bulk quantity can each have a different cost. The practical question is whether a shopper can understand the price attached to the option being described.

Open one product page in a signed-out browser. Record the selected color, size, quantity, currency and purchase type. Then open the Product Schema Checker for that URL. Compare the detected offer fields with the visible selection.

Separate three price questions

Question Evidence to collect What to investigate
What is the default option? Selected variant and visible unit price A cheaper sibling variant supplying the default markup
Does quantity change the price? Minimum order and quantity breaks A bulk price shown without the purchase conditions
Is customization included? Blank and printed prices plus setup fees A price that obscures which service or item it covers

This worksheet is a review method. The checker cannot determine whether a price is commercially correct from the presence of a field alone.

Keep variants identifiable

Google documents ProductGroup and related properties for connecting variants. Before changing markup, check whether your theme already emits variant information and whether another app duplicates it. A second JSON-LD block can make an existing mismatch harder to trace. Use the documented variant model that fits the actual page structure. Google's product variant documentation.

For Shopify, compare the selected variant, canonical URL and server response. For Adobe Commerce, compare the configurable parent with the child SKU a buyer can select. Preserve that evidence with your implementation ticket.

Validate the correction

Retest the same URL and selection after deployment. Check the visible amount, currency, availability and identifiers together. Use Google's testing tools for its supported search features and check your feed separately if you submit one. A successful field check does not establish search placement.
